AN INTERVIEW WITH THE UP AND COMING BAND, THE TUMBLEWEED WANDERERS
Finally, we were able to catch the band Tumbleweed Wanderers before they were set to perform a front act for a concert in Michigan. Yes, they are here with us. They are the front act but it seems like their own show because of the huge amount of supporters, who called themselves the Wanderers, that turned out for tonight’s show.
Monster Beat (MB): So, how does it feel to be performing before such a big crowd?
Tumbleweed Wanderers (TW): This is simply awesome. It’s hard to imagine that just a few weeks ago, we were just performing in the street or bars. It feels great to be sharing our music to a bigger audience.
MB: What or who gave you the lucky break that you needed?
TW: It was John Vanderslice. We were lucky enough that he was watching one of our gigs and he approached us and asked us if he wanted to record songs with him. And he just basically pointed us in the right direction and good connections. We really owe him a lot.
MB: How has your life changed since then?
TW: Oh, it is like we’re all living in a dream. It is life-changing. This has been a dream come true for us. Now, we’re performing in front of a huge crowd, we have a wider audience for our music. And the fans’ reception has been amazing. They have been so supportive right from the start and accompanied us in our shows. We are also so much busier these days, we hardly have time to do our laundry. That is how our life has changed.
MB: Too bad you have to go onstage now. Good luck with the show and bring the house down.
TW: Thank you so much. We’ll catch you later.
So there you have it – a short but sweet conversation with Tumbleweed Wanderers. They are not just an up and coming band. At the rate they are going, it looks like they are here to stay.
